Mud and puddles get New Year started!
Barely had we recovered from too much turkey and Christmas pudding and our tenacious Green and Golds were back out in the thick of it (literally) again.

It was another great night to celebrate the achievements of Wallsend Harriers.
The ceremony took place at the Lindisfarne Social Club in Wallsend on Saturday December 7th, 2019.
Read on for a list of all the prizes and recipients. Congratulations to everyone, and remember, you have to be in it to win it so we hope to see lots more new faces picking up trophies in 2020!
A gallery of photos from the night will be up soon.
A hardy band of green and golds braved ice cold, gale force winds at Alnwick pastures on December 14th for the North Eastern Counties X-Country Championships.
We had a great turn out at Heaton Memorial 10k at the Town Moor on Remembrance Sunday. Sixteen Wallsend Harriers congregated on a chilly but thankfully sunny morning.
The race is famously flat and proved a PB winner for several of our crew: Geoff (41.22), Kerry (47.57), Andy Wigmore (37.47) and new recruit Catherine Graham (48.29, a whopping 10 mins off her 10k time!) Sarah Robson was on cloud nine after breaking 40 minutes (39.39). She was 11th female overall.
Simon was our first Wallsend male in 36.35 (41st male).
The full team were Simon L, Martin Crozier, Andy Wigmore, Sarah Robson, Adam Hamilton, Geoff Cavanagh, Keith O’Donnell, Barry, Sam Crooks, Ian Gowing, Stephen Taylor, Emily James, Alan Heslington, Kerry Spencer, Catherine Graham, Mick Lindsay.
Well done for flying the green and gold everyone!

After a monumentally wet autumn and two cancelled x-countries as a result, a hardy bunch of green and golds were chomping at the bit to get their spikes into a whole lot of mud this November.
