The sun was out once again for the final NOTAN Summer Grand Prix, where we had the biggest turnout yet for the green and golds.
A fantastic turnout for this year’s Club Championships, despite the prediction of thunder and lightning. The only storming to be seen, was the finishes!! Read more
Whilst we are all coming to terms with the disappointment of an England-free World Cup Final we can at least be happy about the performances of our Green and Golds this week. It’s been action-packed…
On a blistering hot SGP evening Mark Taylor took the top spot comfortably holding off the ever improving Adam Hamilton in second. Alex Hemsley secured a podium spot following an excellent run at Weetslade last week.
Congratulations to Sam Charlton, fastest man, a new course record and first athlete to dip under 10 mins, with a 9:59. The family kudos goes to his dad Simon, pipping Sam to the line by one second. Well done both. Despite nursing a hangover Erin Prior was once again the fastest female with a great run in 12:34.
Graham Armstrong has taken a nine point lead in the SGP table, knocking Mick Skeldon off the top spot. Andy Wigmore sits third with Mish Margison moving up to fourth. There are still plenty of points on offer, with the next race the Tynedale 10km on Thursday 5th July. If you want your predicted time, let me know.
Big thank you to Jess, Brian, Nina and Bill for officiating and marshalling.
Thanks Gary
