Great North Run 2019 info

Whether you love it or hate it, there’s no denying that the Great North Run is an iconic North East event.

On Sunday prior to the race, it doesn’t matter if you’re donning our legendary Green and Gold colours, a charity vest or even fancy dress – if you’re a Wallsend Harrier you need to be in our GNR team photo.

09:15am: Start to arrive at the North Terrace bar.

09:45am: Green and Gold team photo.

10.05am: Baggage buses will leave for the finish line.

10.10am: Elite wheelchair race starts.

10.15am: Elite women run starts.

10.15am: Mass Great North Run warm-up get underway.

10.30am: Assembly area closes.

10.40am: Start of the Great North Run: Elite men and all the participants.

Our post race debrief / celebration will be at the Prince of Wales in North Shields.
