Harrier Heroes
Well we couldn’t let lockdown pass without mentioning two of our green and gold heroes!
Not even confinement could deter this awesome duo from doing their thing.

Here’s our training plan for next week; remember to keep in touch with your club mates, praise them, hammer that kudos button and drop in on our social media channels.
As always, let us know if you’ve any feedback or questions.
Although the popular Gordon Smith Relays can’t take place as usual this year, we have decided to hold the Virtual Gordon Smith Relays instead.
As usual, the relays are for men’s & women’s teams of 3, minimum age is 16 but one team member must be V35 or older. Each leg has to be 2 miles with no more than –20ft elevation.
The legs must be ran between Sunday 24 May and Saturday 30 May. Each clubs’ men’s and women’s club captains to verify their club’s results on Garmin/Strava. Men’s and women’s club captains to collate the results and return them to wallsendharriers@gmail.com by no later than 5pm Saturday 30 May.
A spreadsheet to collate the results has been emailed out but please let me know if you haven’t received it.
There is no entry fee for the relays. However, as you may be aware, many charities are currently struggling for money especially as mass fundraising events have had to be cancelled. We hope that each runner will make a donation, no matter how small, to a charity close to our club’s heart, St Oswald’s Hospice. You can donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/wallsend-harriers-ac
Please remember to follow social distancing rules.
Thank you and good luck!
On behalf of Wallsend Harriers & AC
