Well done to all those who took part in the Club Championships last night, an excellent turnout (despite the weather) and some excellent times from the Juniors up to the Vets. Well done to Elaine Liu and Harry Coates for being our club champions 2015, Olly Aird our under 16 winner and Samuel Warren, Wallsends Junior champ!
Anyone who isn’t able to take part in the whole Toby weekend can join the valiant troops on the last leg on Sunday (23rd August).
Make sure you wear your club vest. The team will meet at the big roundabout at Seaton Sluice at teatime. Check Facebook and Twitter or text one of the team to get an accurate meeting time. It will be approximately 6.5 miles to the end in Tynemouth.
It would be great to see as many green and golds there as possible. It’s for a fantastic cause (St. Oswald’s) so let’s make this a record year and raise as much money as possible!
Show your support for the Go “Jo Jo” Charity and run the Newcastle Business Park Fun Run on Thursday 10th September. The race is 2.2 miles and starts at 6.15pm
Joseph’s brother and sister run with Wallsend Juniors. He is 8 years-old and his family are seeking help to raise funds for disability equipment for his specific needs. He has a “wish list” of equipment that would help him, … “live his life to the fullest”.
The race entry fee is just £5 for adults and only £1 for under 18s. This year the run will raise money for the Go “Jo Jo” charity and The Sick Children’s Trust.
Visit the website below for more information and to enter. It would be great to see lots of green and golds there to support Joseph and his family.
They think it’s all over…it is now!
Well our combined Wallsend/Blyth team have only just gone and won the final event by a huge margin and we have been promoted to division 2E.
We are hugely proud of our full team. It took guts, determination and a huge amount of effort to get us over the line but we should all be immensely proud to be the CHAMPIONS!
Thank you to everyone who has competed, officiated and supported in all the 4 fixtures but a huge call out to Captain Harry Coates and Becki Jaye for the huge effort they put in across the series and Gez Davidson for his cracking burgers!
Well done everybody from Wallsend and Blyth!
